What is eTMS?
eTMS, or Electronic Transcript Management System, is designed to help high schools get
transcripts to colleges faster. It's easy to use and is completely free once your school board has
opted in.
With eTMS, high school transcripts arrive at Ontario colleges an average of three weeks earlier
than those sent from school boards that use traditional methods.
Over 29 school boards in Ontario now use eTMS to receive and respond to transcript requests,
reducing interruptions and freeing up valuable staff time for other priorities.
eTMS: electronic Transcript Management System
Background
• Over 60% of Ontario college applicants are high school graduates,
not currently enrolled in high school.
• Over 125,000 high school graduates applied to colleges in Ontario
during 2011. Most contacted their former high schools to obtain an
official transcript.
Benifits Of Using ETMS For Past Students
• Increased student opportunities When using eTMS, applicants’ transcripts arrive at the
college, on average, three weeks earlier than when using current paper based methods, helping
graduates avoid program waitlists. This is especially significant near the equal consideration date
and during the summer when many schools are closed.
• Save time and cost Applicants no longer need to call or travel to their former schools or
board offices, complete forms, mail payments or take time off during working hours to obtain
high school transcripts for college admission. |
