Ottawa High School to Visit O'Gorman High School for LINK Program Experience
2012-02-03
Brookfield High School in Ottawa, will be visiting O’Gorman High School next week to check out the unique LINK Program that OHS has in place for its students.
Doug Basso, Department Head of Student Life at OHS and LINK Program Coordinator, stated “We are very excited about the upcoming visit of Brookfield High School to OHS. They are coming to check out how we do things and to see Timmins. We will be visited by 28 Link Leaders and their coordinator from Ottawa. This is a connection that we made when we went to Ottawa for our conference, last year. Our kids really hit it off and they wanted to reciprocate. It will be an eye opener for many of the Ottawa students as most have never been to Northern Ontario and come from a very diverse ethnic background, very representative of multicultural Ottawa. OHS and our students are very excited and honoured to have them visit us.”
